Do
you have a dealer in my area?
Customers in the USA or Canada can phone
(918) 527 0634 or email Bikelug
USA .
We currently sell out trailers direct in
order to keep the price as low as possible, dealer profit margins
would add 20-30% to the cost of each trailer and while some of our
competitors can absorb this within their profit margin our higher production costs prevent it.

How
long will it take for my order to arrive?
Goods that are in stock can be despatched the same day if ordered before noon.
Delivery is by UPS Ground which takes 1-5
days depending on your location. If you place your order by
phone you
can ask the Bikelug representative to confirm availability and
guarantee your delivery date.
If we're out of stock of
an item you'll be notified so you can decide
whether to proceed with the order. We don't charge customers credit cards until the order is ready to ship.

Can I load the
trailer by myself?
The optional automatic
front wheel chock can be used to hold the bike in position while the
straps are fitted or removed allowing single person operation. However,
for personal safety we recommend that you have some help available when
loading a motorcycle onto any trailer or truck.

How do I strap the
bike down to the trailer?
Fixing points for straps are located on a tie-down bar at the front of
the trailer and at each end of the axle.
Additional fixing points are provided along the length of the
trailer.

Does the trailer have suspension?
Independent suspension is available as an option, please see our how to order page
for
prices

Can the trailer take my bike?
Please see the specifications
page for full details. The Bikelug trailer can accept the
vast majority of production motorcycles. Typically any bike up to 1000
lbs* and up to 70" wheelbase will fit, slightly longer bikes can
sometimes be carried subject to weight restrictions, contact us
for advice.
Our unique wide V-shaped support channel can accept a range of tire
sizes
without adjustment, the V shape of the support channel centers the bike
and prevents the wheels moving from side to side. Our current
models can accommodate up to a 260 section rear tire and a 200
section front tire.
Many motorcycle manufacturers quote 'dry' weights, in this case you
need to add the weight of fuel, luggage and accessories to determine
the overall weight.

* Weight limit is 900 lbs for trailers shipped before September 2008
Can I return the trailer if it isn't
suitable?
Yes, we want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase, if not
call us within 7 days of reciept of the trailer and you can arrange to
return it for any reason. If you return the trailer and any accessories
to us in the original condition & packing we'll refund the full
purchase price of the trailer and accessories, we can't refund the
delivery charges.
If the trailer has been used, scratched or badly packed so we receive
it in poor condition we reserve the right to charge for the damaged
parts, good packaging is crucial and we recommend you purchase
insurance from the carrier when returning goods.

What size are the wheels and tires ?
All our trailers are fitted with either 8" or 12" 6-ply C-rated tires.
The 8" tires are rated for up to 745 lbs each at 87mph, the 12" tires
are rated for up to 1045 lbs each at 87 mph (always obey posted speed
limits). Please see our specifications
page for more information.

Aren't
the wheels and tires too small for highway use?
No,
both the 8" and 12" wheels and tires are rated for highway speeds, the
overall diameter of the tires are about 18 inches and 22 inches
respectively. We only use high capacity C-rated 6-ply tires. Remember
small wheel size is a real benefit when storing a portable trailer and if
necessary larger wheel and tires could be fitted for special
applications.

Does the trailer need to be registered?
This varies from state to state, we supply all the necessary
documentation for you to register the trailer if this is required in
your region. Your local DMV will be able to provide more detailed
information.

I saw a trailer similar to yours
from another manufacturer, is it the same?
No. Bikelug USA are the only manufacturers of genuine Bikelug products.
There have been other folding or easily disassembled trailers on the
market for decades but we believe Bikelug Trailers have unique
innovations that set them apart from other competing products.
Bikelugs unique V-shaped folding trailer beam was
developed using 3d solid modelling techniques and finite
element analysis. Bikelug
conceived this design many years ago and while it has since been copied
Bikelug maintain a unique understanding of the design.
The use of high strength low-alloy steel also sets Bikelug apart, the
material we use in our trailer beam has a yield strength of 80,000 psi
compared to 30,000 for traditional carbon steels.
